In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Why let the truth get in the way of a good story? That is a question THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT explores when Davidson Community Players presents this contemporary, fast-paced comedy April 9 through April 26, 2026, at the Armour Street Theatre.

Directed by Frannie Williams, the play explores the ethics of journalism and the fine line between fact and interpretation as it follows a young Harvard-educated fact checker who clashes with a celebrated writer over an essay that could save a struggling New York magazine. As their battle over details intensifies, the debate becomes both hilarious and thought-provoking, a dynamic that feels especially relevant in today’s social media-driven culture. Evening performances begin at 7:30 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Recommended ages 15 and up.

Guys and Dolls is one of Broadway‘s most beloved musicals, packed with unforgettable songs like "Luck be a Lady," "Sit Down, You’re Rockin' the Boat," and "A Bushel and a Peck."

Our cast is made up of local performers who bring extraordinary talent, energy and heart to the stage. You’ll hear powerhouse vocals, see dazzling dance numbers, and laugh all night long.

This year we are excited to announce that our Saturday 7:30 PM performance will have an ASL interpreter and designated seating. We’ll see you at the theater!
